Worshipping passionately, Loving extravagantly, Witnessing boldly

ABC’s of Trinity J-O

J is for:

Jesus - The reason that we’re here.

Junior Church – During worship service, children through 6th grade are invited to go to Junior Church – to hear a lesson and do a craft.  Volunteers teach these lessons.  All volunteers have state-mandated background checks.

Junior Youth – Junior Youth is a program in which elementary age children attend youth group programs, learning, having fun, and serving.

K is for:

Kitchen – Help is often needed for the kitchen for various programs.  Anyone can volunteer, just let whoever is in charge of the program know.

L is for:

Linens for Missions – The youth group collects all kinds of clothes and other fabric materials which  are then sold through a missions group.  This group then gives us funds to be used for projects.

Living Christmas Tree – one of our other big projects, the Living Christmas Tree has been presented for more than 25 years at Christmas time.  Community volunteers come together to present a Christmas cantata while standing in a Christmas tree, specifically created for the ministry.  It is a very meaningful ministry and one for which we are known.

Love – What we try to share as much as we can

M is for:

Marquee – The marquee at the bottom of the driveway in front of the church has a message each week for passerby to read and be encouraged.  Volunteers change the message often so there is something new to consider as you arrive for church.

Memorial Fund - This fund accepts memorial contributions in honor of someone who has passed away.  These funds are then used for special projects.

Missions – The missions committee administers the faith promise program and keeps in touch with many missionaries we support, who serve all over the world.

Music – We love to praise with music.  Our ministry includes the praise team, which leads worship each week as well as gifted musicians who offer their talents to serve the Lord.

N is for:

Nominations – This ministry nominates people from the congregation to serve on various ministry committees each year so our church is more effective.  You can always let Pastor Russ know if you are interested in a particular area of service, based on your talents and interests.

Nursing Homes – Several of our members visit people in nursing homes regularly to remind them that although they are not able to attend church, we do remember them.

O is for:

Outreach – This ministry, headed by Ellen Rezek, has a regular program of ways to reach out to others through various projects and prayer.  If you have ideas, just let Ellen know.
